For Chesterfield, Alix Eynaudi and her team were inspired by the leather collection of the Austrian Museum of Folk Life and Folk Art. The dancers apply different leather manipulation techniques to bodies and wares, and develop a maze of signs. Chesterfield is a patchwork poem woven with threads of leather… and all composed to a sensual cadence.

Advertising, film, internet: we are constantly surrounded by images of sexualized bodies. In to come (extended) 15 performers explore the relationship between individual sexual freedom and sexuality as a collective experience. The central focus is on challenging arousal and climax – by turns in alienating slow motion and then at great speed, bursting with energy.

Fase (1982) was Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s breakthrough performance. Set to four repetitive compositions by the American minimalist Steve Reich, Fase comprises three duets and a solo. The movements are executed so perfectly that they almost appear mechanical, but they are nevertheless strangely moving. For the first time in the work’s history, De Keersmaeker is passing it on to a new generation of dancers.

One loves jumpstyle and toilet humour, another loves ballet and self-written love songs, while the third loves to observe the world through his camera lens and is secretly an accomplished beatboxer. If it weren’t for this production, these three probably never would have met, but it is their love of dance that has brought them together here.

This exceptionally vital production was one of the highlights of the last season, and was promptly selected for the TheaterFestival. Join the dancers, and abandon yourself once again to Coltrane’s spiritual ode to divine love!

July 1968. The legendary Paradise Now by The Living Theatre premieres at the Festival d’Avignon. The actors attempted to unleash a revolution by getting the audience into a state of readiness. Half a century later, Michiel Vandevelde is exploring the vestiges of the legacy of May ’68. Will new future perspectives open up when thirteen young people survey a half century of history in a wild choreography of iconic images?

Achterland (1990) is a pivotal production in Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s oeuvre. It was the first time that the choreographer created dance material specifically for men and that she gave musicians a central role on the stage. To the tones of Györgi Ligeti and Eugène Ysaÿe, the minimalism and femininity of her earlier work made room for an ambiguous no man’s land that blurred boundaries and signs. A reprisal to look forward to!

You will be seated near the thirteen dancers and the pianists – a proximity that results in a collective shared energy.
