OPEN CALL: Liebestod is looking for extras

We are looking for extras for Angelica Liddell's show Liebestod!

Who?
We are looking for newborns aged between 0 and 12 months and Caucasian men (ideally father/child).

What?
Men will be asked to be dressed in period clothing (shirt, trousers, waistcoat, bare feet) and to carry a baby/their child in their arms. The men will come on stage to the music of Bach. Angelica Liddell will imitate the sign of the cross without ever touching the baby, as if she were to baptise them.

The baby scene takes place 25 minutes into the show and lasts 3 minutes. The babies can then go home.
The fathers/men will be present until the end of the performance to be part of the final bow.

When and Where?
The performances are scheduled at the Théâtre National (Bd E. Jacqmain 111-115, 1000 Brussels) on 18, 19 and 20 January 2023 at 8.15 pm.

Interested?
Fathers/men will be paid for their services. The parents of the babies will receive a gift voucher. If you wish to participate in this show, please send us the following information before 2 January 2023:

In the last aria of Wagner's opera Tristan and Isolde, Isolde passes into another dimension 'dying from love'. Liddell associates this love to death with bullfighting as the ultimate form of surrender.
