The theatre-maker Marijs Boulogne carried this production around inside her for a year. She showed her work in progress in Roubaix, Ghent, Leuven, Amsterdam, Brussels and Mechelen and is now presenting the completed work at the Studios. Pas maar al gerot is a sort of forensic investigation into a dead baby, a doll that Boulogne crocheted and embroidered with almost scientific precision.

Last season the Hungarian-Berlin dancer and choreographer Eszter Salamon was our guest with two productions that challenged our perception: can we learn the truth simply by looking? In Nvsbl (pronounced ‘non-visible’) she explores the theme even further. It is a performance about looking, and the limits of what allows itself to be seen, about bodies (female and other) and our idea of them. Nvsbl is a mixture of hallucination and recognition.

Starnberg. Sisi, When a Fairytale Comes True is a production about Sisi, or Elisabeth, the Empress of Austria, Ludwig II, the mad king of Bavaria, and Romy Schneider. As always Rudi Meulemans will base the text on extensive documentation. It is the first performance in a series that Rudi Meulemans and De Parade will dedicate to the Habsburgers.

KNOWH₂OW is a new energy piece, after the successful PIPELINES that Jan Ritsema and Bojana Cvejic produced in 2004 together with Dirk Roofthooft and Mette Ingvartsen.

A man and a woman take turns to speak. The woman tells the story of a relationship that has ended, and changes the story with each telling. The man tells a large number of different stories based on other people's lives; each story is a snapshot of a sorrow great or small. Exquisite Pain by the English group Forced Entertainment is an intimate performance based on the wonderful reading and picture book Douleur exquise by the French artist Sophie Calle.
