Burning Ice - Filmed on four continents, featuring esteemed scientists and working farmers and ranchers, Symphony of the Soil is an intriguing presentation that highlights possibilities of healthy soil creating healthy plants creating healthy humans living on a healthy planet.

In the North quarter of Brussels, in the shadow of the ‘Manhattan’ towers, migrants, local residents and chance passers-by cross each other’s paths. Said, a new inhabitant of Brussels who lives in this neighbourhood, dreams of setting up an independent ambulance service. A social fiction film by Globe Aroma, made together with residents and visitors to North Brussels, directed by Jan Geers and Jamal Boukhriss.

A documentary in which two stories cross: one about the birth of the atom bomb, the other about the German anthropologist Aby Warburg, who studied the Hopi Indians. The film is preceded by a lecture performance. Jerry Killick, one of the original Forced Entertainment actors, steps into Aby Warburg’s shoes and gives his lecture on the religious symbolism of the Hopi Indians.

On the very day when, ten years ago, the great German writer W.G. Sebald died, Ictus and the French composer Jérôme Combier are paying him a tribute, based on his novel Austerlitz. Combier wrote a ‘soundtrack for an imaginary film’ and will design the setting with the French video film-maker and stage designer Pierre Nouvel. Johan Leysen will read from Sebald’s novel.

They create fake websites, publish fake newspapers, speak at conferences, make guest appearances on TV shows and so on.
