In their latest creation, Brasil-based choreographers Marcela Levi and Lucía Russo explore the various possibilities offered by the tremolo, a vibration effect between two different notes. By means of Kraftwerk’s and Bruno Tucunduva Ruviaro’s electronic music, tap-dancing, and Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, six dancers produce a minutely detailed choreographic research around vibration in the body.

In this Suite, the collective presents a performance about absence, like an opera without singers or a theatre without actors. Get ready for an installation that makes use of all Kaaitheater’s resources; a sonic and visual journey where the voices are accompanied by the music composition of Brussels ensemble Ictus.

Tafukt is a dance solo created by Radouan Mriziga, and the first part in a trilogy focusing on the semantics and mythologies of the Imazighen, the indigenous people of North Africa. Each part centres on one female figure – embodied by one female dancer – who is a guardian of the transmission of Amazigh knowledge. In this part, it is the goddess Athena.
