PERFORMATIK 2015 - Dancer and choreographer Philipp Gehmacher is a familiar guest at the Kaaitheater, from his collaboration with among others Meg Stuart and with his own creations. He introduces my shapes, your words, their grey as an exhibition of a visual and choreographic movement that infects the language of objects with the language of the body and linguistic language and that takes place in the medium of grey, in which all colours vibrate.

Burning Ice - For Burning Ice #7, Agency is selecting a number of ‘things’ and speculates on how the idea of ‘commons’ can be included in art and science practices, with a special focus on folklore and traditional knowledge.

PERFORMATIK2013 - A small group of curators select visual work. This is exhibited in constantly changing arrangements by a number of performers. They confront the works with one another, give them air, let them move. The aim of brouillon is to explore what ‘an exhibition in movement’ could be.’ Musée de la danse and Argos gathered artworks that question the position of labour versus non-work (or play) in today’s society.

Since the legendary Chambres d’Amis (Ghent, 1986), art, and increasingly live art, has sought out the intimate setting of the private home. In Intimate Parcours you can see performances, installations and visual work by 14 artists. You start out from the Kaaitheater, visit private lofts and flats and end up at the Beursschouwburg. The whole route takes about 2,5 hours.
