The THING is back! This automated and hybrid form consists of four episodes, in between performance, workshop, and journey. The only ones present are you, a group of 8 to 12 people who open a suitcase and follow a wild mix of different triggers as a guide. Make a leap of faith!

Sat 29.11.14

Pharmakon - On the second day we look into practices, developed in Brussels and elsewhere, that propose another economy of values and desire. We confront the current movements of speculation on imagination and utopia, and the subsequent proposals for the reorganisation of work and solidarities.

Pharmakon - The young Portuguese artist Maria Lucia Cruz Correia takes you on a walk to a location in the city, a place where our way of life, ecology and politics meet. Once there, you select a spot where you can comfortably spend 4 hours. You are given a text to reflect upon using a ‘thinking manual’. The location selected is linked to a particular organ.

Fri 28.11.14

Pharmakon - On the first day we open up the notion of ‘pharmakon’ through dialogues, discussions and bodywork. Bernard Stiegler addresses his notions of ‘savoir faire’ and ‘savoir vivre’ out of a contemporary understanding of how we ‘technologize’ our lives.
