With Zeit Marc Vanrunxt created a choreography for two exceptional dancers, Eva Kamala Rodenburg (one of Vanrunxt’s fetish dancers) and Igor Shyshko (ex-Rosas), who in this setting transform into a mythical couple. Zeit is based on the double album of the same name by Tangerine Dream, the electronic pop group which helped to create the basis of electronic music as we now know it.

Artists reveal themselves in their work. They give us a glimpse of what is going on in their minds, in their hearts. They inspire us. But who or what inspires them? For Soul Food Special, Eleanor Bauer, Ivo Dimchev, Mette Ingvartsen and Kris Verdonck will reveal their sources of inspiration and great examples to interviewers Guy Gypens and Katleen Van Langendonck (artistic director and programmer at Kaaitheater resp.) and you, the audience. There will be food and drinks for all.  And the artists get to choose their favourite dessert!

In their double one-woman show Eleanor Bauer and Heather Lang create an amalgam of theatre genres and familiar characters, nothing is too outrageous for them: a drag show, a spiritual talk show, television commercials... Amidst all this madness they turn their guns on such major concepts as cultural identity, capitalism and creative expression and apply them to the theme of ‘gender’ and the emancipation of the performer.

In this new lecture performance, Mette Ingvartsen
aims to create a virtual performance in the spectator’s mind. In word, gesture and physical action she voices ideas about artificial
nature, catastrophic constructions and the autonomy of objects.

At the request of Kaaitheater, De Veere will be staging a rerun of one of their legendary performances, Der Theatermacher by Thomas Bernhard, along with actors from ‘t Barre Land.
