In Topaz, the day centre for palliative care in Wemmel run by Dr. Wim Distelmans, Het Atelier supervises creative activities that aim to promote or restore the wellbeing of the patients. The studios are open to everyone but are primarily aimed at people with a chronic or life-threatening illness.

In addition to the performances of Hotel Malaria, Het Atelier is also there to help with a number of other activities. As a part of Verhelst XL.
