Georgia On My Mind!

In December 2011 dancer and choreographer Georgia Vardarou showed in Stuk (Louvain) her Hardcore Research on Dance. Both Salva Sanchis and Marc Vanrunxt respond now with a choreographic proposal to her solo. From an affinity for each other’s work came the idea to turn Hardcore Research on Dance into a triptych: three writings for one dancer, 3 x Georgia Vardarou.

Hardcore Research on Dance - Georgia Vardarou
With Hardcore Research on Dance Georgia Vardarou looks for the physical body and tries to discover and understand the origin of her own dance. Why does her body select this particular movement and not another? Which role do cultural influences play in this selection?

Double Exposure - Salva Sanchis
Salva Sanchis will be looking for a way to introduce fiction and narrativity into dance.

Automatisch - Marc Vanrunxt
Marc Vanrunxt will use the basic principle of letting go of formerly constructed forms and ideas into a non-structured space and time.
