Mensen maken de stad
Oikos, the think-tank for socio-ecological change, has invited researchers and professors to think about the future of the city together. What is the present condition of the city? What are the greatest challenges and what response can we make to them. What might the main elements be of a future-oriented urban policy?
Four key words arise in the answers to these questions: housing, solidarity, superdiversity and climate-neutral, which are interwoven with a plea for participation and urban citizenship. Mensen maken de stad ( People Make the City) is a book about and for city-dwellers who take their future in their own hands.
