Lunch Concert: Turkish folk
Melike specialises in refreshing the colours of old Turkish troubadour songs by means of an original approach of that tradition, and by combining it with the new “türküs” (folksongs). Her musicians proudly reveal their roots in a special kind of Turkish folk with Arabic and European ingredients. This project seems to wipe out borders while dealing extensively with literature about temptation.
