Tine Van Aerschot is presenting a show about love. It tells the story of love then and now. The love of the child, the adult, and the old person. It is about the history and development of love. It is about the love between the three actresses: Lois Brochez, Sara De Roo, and Dounia Mahammed. It is about romantic love and the love of one’s people. It is about love for the infinite beauty of the world around us.
The texts – which are always central to Tine’s theatre work – are based on conversations that she had with children and adults about their experiences of love. But remarkable love stories from the past and from literature also have a place in the production. Your ears will rejoice when the three women onstage start playing their homemade stringed instruments.
• Tine Van Aerschot is a visual artist and has worked, among others, for Meg Stuart. Since 2006, she has also been making productions, most of which were presented at the Kaaistudios. Precision, humour, and fragility are key themes in her theatre work. This is her first show in Dutch.
