We create a qualitative moment in which we become silent for a moment and share a part of our experience with each other. Each in his or her way: by telling something, by listening, by a piece of music, by an image... Being present is sufficient, everyone can take the floor, but you don't have to.

On 21/03, spring promises a new beginning, but also the anniversary of the attacks on Brussels. On the eve of the second anniversary of the Brussels bombings, we’re bringing together three experts on mourning. After Anders Breivik’s bloodbath in Norway, Jone Salomonsen founded a research group on new rituals as a reaction to attacks. Kristin Verellen – who lost her partner in the Brussels attacks – talks about her circle gatherings that aim to foster a culture of togetherness and dialogue. And architect Koen Van Synghel discusses (temporary) mourning monuments.
