In May 2014 Dava Sobel, the New York science writer and author of Longitude, Galileo's Daughter, The Planets, and A More Perfect Heaven will reside in Brussels for three days. Within the context of the Academic Chair 'History and Philosophy of Sciences' at VUB, initiated by the biologists Cécile Casterman and Raymond Hamers, Sobel will give a public lecture and lead an expert meeting at the campus.
