1 place and 14400 seconds
The young Portuguese artist Maria Lucia Cruz Correia takes you to a location in the city, a place where our way of life, ecology and politics meet. Once there, you select a spot where you can comfortably spend 4 hours in contemplation, silence or action. You are given a text to reflect upon using a ‘thinking manual’. The location selected is linked to a particular organ. Previous locations for 1 place and 14400 seconds were associated with growth and development (womb), the pharmaceutical industry (kidney) and cattle farming (stomach).
Feel free to bring your writing and drawing materials, warm clothes or a chair. Afterwards we will return to the Kaaistudios for a discussion; coffee, tea and cake will be provided.
